Cold Vision Outdoors is a family-powered ice fishing crew from Northern Minnesota, sharing real-life adventures from Lake of the Woods and beyond. We’re Jarred Rhodes, Rhica Chan, Madison Rhodes, Koda the Malamute, and an ever-growing cast of friends and family who love bonfires, belly laughs, and big fish.
Cold Vision Outdoors is built around three core humans and one fluffy co-host – but most trips include cousins, buddies, neighbors, and whoever shows up at first ice with donuts. We’re serious about safety, respectful harvest, and having fun on the lake, but never too serious to laugh when Koda photobombs the hero shot.
Jarred is the voice and camera behind Cold Vision Outdoors – chasing bites, cracking jokes, and making sure everyone else has a good time (and a warm shack). If there’s a walleye mark on the screen, he’s probably already dropping a jig on it.
Rhica brings the energy, the laughs, and the camera angles nobody expects. She’s usually the one turning a casual fish catch into a full-on celebration – and reminding everyone to like, subscribe, and scan the QR code for giveaways.
Madison is proof that the future of fishing is in good hands. She’s usually dialed on pike and perch, loves fishing with Koda, and reminds the adults that the best days on the ice are about memories first, limits second.
Koda is our four-legged co-host, sled puller, and professional fish sniffer. He’s happiest when the wind is howling, the snow is drifting, and someone just yelled, “Fish on!” If a tail is wagging in the background, that’s Koda.
From sunrise runs out of the access to late-night rattle reel sessions, we’re constantly exploring the Northwoods – on the ice and in the grouse woods and deer stands: Lake of the Woods, Red River country, small local gems, the grouse covers, deer stands, and duck marshes that feel like home. We chase walleye and sauger, pike and perch, plus grouse, deer, and ducks – and every story that happens between the first hole drilled and the last sled pulled back to the truck.
